Christi Malafronte has worked in Human Resources and Total Rewards at Fortune 500 companies since 2006. Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, retirement plan conversions from pension plans to contribution plans (DB to DC), benefits governance, and global brokering. 

Most recently as Director of Global Benefits for International Flavors & Fragrances, Christi led total rewards through all aspects of a merger and acquisition, from pre-acquisition retirement conversion from DB to DC, through post-acquisition design of DC retirement, health, and welfare plans across three entities. She also designed, implemented and chaired a global benefits governance structure to ensure consistency within the market and compliance with legal standards in multiple countries. Christi established a Global Broker at IFF to streamline insured benefits design and delivery. 

Previously, as Senior Director of Global Benefits at Pfizer, Christi led the global transformation from defined benefit to defined contribution retirement plans, resulting in a $100m reduction of pension expense across more than 10 countries. As at IFF, Christi managed benefits through mergers and acquisitions at Pfizer. Prior to her work in Total Rewards, Christi managed the assets of defined benefits and defined contributions plans as part of Pfizer’s treasury organization. 

Christi holds an MBA from Cornell University, with a focus on Finance. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Emory University. She volunteers in her community on a regular basis.
